Grand Old Opry
This wouldn’t be an authentic list of Nashville without mentioning the Grand Old Opry. Besides being a historic icon, it’s a great date destination! Be sure to check out the upcoming schedule for shows, which include new acts as well as country stars of all ages. Be sure to read about the history of the Opry on its website, and check out backstage tour opportunities. You’ll definitely wow your date here!
Even if you live here, there is still plenty to know and learn about this awesome city. Why not grab your date and go on a tour? It’s pretty big and would take a while to walk. So try out a segway tour! There are several Nashville tours to choose from via iRide Nashville.
In this town, it’s all about listening to what’s new and appreciating the music of older times. Check out many of Nashville’s live music venues for music from a wide variety of people. Who knows? Maybe you’ll get to see the next big star!
Country Music Hall of Fame
Whether or not you’re a fan of country music, you can’t deny the impact it’s had on the U.S. and even the whole world. While in Nashville, definitely take your date and check out the Country Music Hall of Fame. There is plenty to see, so check out “Exhibits” on the website to see which country singers they are highlighting.
Obviously, not one will know your singing talent unless you show them off. And if you aren’t a good singer… well, all the more reason to practice! You and your date can expect a night to remember at a Nashville karaoke spot like WannaB’s. Plenty of actual good singers, and plenty of wanna-bes.
Quality Animal Time
If you need to schedule a day-time date, check out the Nashville Zoo! You can take your time wandering around with your date and admiring the wildlife, and check out the Backstage Pass while you’re at it to learn more about the animals and the zoo itself. You’ll have fun connecting with the animals and your date, too. They have spider monkeys, alligators, pandas, lemurs, and so much more.
If you aren’t as inclined toward city life, there is still plenty for you and your date in the Nashville area. How about a romantic hike in south Nashville? Be sure to check out the Edwin and Percy Warner trails. There are many options for trails/loops depending on how far you want to walk–though the further you go, perhaps the more opportunities for holding hands is in the stars. Bring a picnic and make it an amazing day.
